Fair Trade Fundraiser! November 07 2017, 1 Comment
Mark your calendars for an exciting evening!
Friday November 17th 3:00 – 7:00 PM.
Once again, the United Church of Cloverdale is working with One World Fair Trade in Healdsburg to bring Fair Trade to Cloverdale. In the past, One World Fair Trade has donated 20% of the proceeds from the sale to UCC, which has turned those funds over to the Wallace House, for the benefit of those in their community who need housing assistance. This year, Wallace House has asked that such proceeds be re-directed to those who have become homeless as a result of the recent fires.
The event will be held at One World Fair Trade
104 Matheson Street on the Healdsburg Square
Did somebody say Cookies? Rumor has it that Marilyn is going to make her famous peanut butter cookies, Carolyn will be creating something decadent, and Lavonne will be making "cookies" with butter, cheese, bacon and rosemary! If you have not had the opportunity to meet these three amazing ladies and personally try "anything" they create, then you have truly missed out!
So come join us for an evening of fun, refreshments and goodies and take this opportunity to make a purchase that has more meaning and impact than even the item itself. Browse through all the products available at One World Fair Trade - beautiful handmade crafts, home décor, clothing & accessories, jewelry, musical instruments, Christmas decorations, toys, books, games and much, much more. Ray Ballestero, President of One World Fair Trade has this to say. “There is a quote that inspires us - "Be the change we want to see in the world.”
This is a unique opportunity for you to be a part of that change. Every purchase you make will not only support a system that helps Third World artisans earn an honest living, but 20% of your purchase will also directly benefit those in our community who are experiencing an extraordinary and unusual need at this time.
