This traditional Tabla Drum is a two-tone ceramic hand drum used in classical Indian music. Similar to the Bongo it has a much deeper bass tone, much like its distant cousin, the Kettle Drum. Ceramic base has goat skin top and buffalo skin straps. The drum has a “sweet spot” made of iron dust mixed with rice paste, which gives a second tone. Includes bira, the ring on which the baya drum sits.
