Our Fair Trade Springtime Capiz Wind Chime would make a stunning addition to your space, inside or out. Handmade in Bali, Indonesia by artisans working in a fair trade cooperative, this chime is made of capiz shell, commonly known as the windowpane oyster. The inside lining of an oyster that is abundant in Southeast Asia, particularly around Indonesia and the Philippines, capiz is naturally a translucent cream color but takes dye beautifully. For our Springtime Capiz Wind Chime, some shells are dyed shades of light blue and olive and some shells are left their natural color.
