The National Association of Women's Organizations (NAWOU) is a non government organization that represents women's groups in Uganda like the one that makes our Ginger Basket. The mission of NAWOU is to enable women in their own right by creating opportunities the women are able to become self-reliant. Having a sustainable income means that these women can feed their families, educate themselves and their children as well as hold a stronger voice in their communities.
